Description

UGC NET Law (Paper 2) is a 100-question, 200-mark test of ten units, with no negative marking, taken by LLM graduates for Assistant Professor eligibility and JRF. The paper rewards breadth: every unit, every cycle, and a heavy weight on recent Supreme Court decisions and statutory amendments. This Lexfolio course is a complete, exam-oriented treatment of all ten units as the law stands in October 2026: the new criminal codes, the labour Codes in force, the DPDP Act and Rules, the 2024 to 2026 Constitution Bench decisions, the Waqf amendment, the Uttarakhand UCC, the latest IP and IT developments and the current international instruments, written in the form the questions take: definitions, section numbers, case names with years, match-the-following tables, chronologies and assertion-reason pairs.

Who this course is for

LLM students and graduates preparing for UGC NET and JRF in Law; candidates for State SET and PhD entrance tests with a similar syllabus; judicial service and APO aspirants who want a single current revision of the whole of Indian law; and law teachers updating their notes. It assumes an LLB-level familiarity with the subjects.

How the course works

The course has 10 units with 40 lessons, each ending with key takeaways and followed by a unit test of eight questions. Lessons give the section numbers, dates, fractions, limits and case names and years that the questions ask for, with match tables and chronologies. Pair it with Lexfolio’s UGC NET Law mock tests for timed practice.

How the certificate works

  • After completing the lessons, you take a full-length online mock of 50 questions drawn from all ten units in the NET format (matching, chronology, assertion-reason, statements), with a time limit of 60 minutes.
  • The pass mark is 60%. If you do not pass, you can review the lessons and try again.
  • On passing, you receive a Lexfolio certificate of completion with a unique certificate ID, which anyone can verify online.
  • This is a certificate of completion issued by Lexfolio. It is not a qualification and has no connection with the NTA or the UGC.

This course is for examination preparation only and is not legal advice. It reflects the law and the syllabus as on 19 October 2026. The NTA notification for each cycle governs the pattern; always check it.
