Description
Revise the whole History syllabus, then test yourself under exam conditions
UGC NET History runs from the sources of early India to historiography in one paper. This pack gives you compact notes for every unit, practice questions to check each unit as you finish it, and a full-length mock that matches the Paper 2 format of 100 questions for 200 marks.
What is inside
- Exam guide: the Paper 2 pattern (100 questions, 200 marks, 2 marks each, no negative marking, 3 hours for both papers together) checked against the NTA Information Bulletin for UGC NET December 2026, the result categories, a unit map, a time plan for the 3 hour session, a score tracker and a response sheet.
- Revision notes for all ten units: Negotiating the Sources; From State to Empire; Emergence of Regional Kingdoms; Sources of Medieval Indian History; Administration and Economy; Society and Culture; Sources of Modern Indian History; Colonial Economy; Rise of Indian Nationalism; Historical Method, Research, Methodology and Historiography. The unit titles follow the heading phrases used for the ten units in published copies of the UGC syllabus, and the pack asks you to read the official syllabus once. Each unit has tables of rulers, texts, sites and terms, a timeline, key concepts, the main debates among historians and a frequent traps box.
- Approximate dates are marked as such, and points on which historians or reference works differ are stated openly instead of being given a single date.
- Part C: 50 original practice questions, 5 for each unit, with the answer and an explanation under each.
- Part D: one full-length mock of 100 original questions, 10 from each unit, in direct, statement based, match the lists, assertion and reason and chronological order formats, with an answer key and an explanation for every question.
- Part E: a 15 day last revision plan with a unit checklist and exam day tips.
Up to date
Reflects the position as on 8 November 2026. The pack states the exam pattern and the December 2026 dates (14 to 18 and 21 December 2026) as given in the NTA Information Bulletin for UGC NET December 2026, and asks you to confirm them on nta.ac.in. The NTA does not publish a unit-wise split of questions, so the 10 questions per unit in the mock is a stated working assumption. The pack also asks you to read the official UGC syllabus once.
