Description
Revise the whole Sociology syllabus from one file
UGC NET Sociology rewards candidates who know the thinkers and the methods first and the themes second. This pack puts the ten units of the syllabus into revision notes you can read in a few days, then tests you with practice questions and a full length mock in the Paper 2 format.
What is inside
- Exam guide: the Paper 2 pattern (100 questions, 200 marks, 2 marks each, no negative marking, 3 hours for both papers together) checked against the NTA Information Bulletin for the June 2026 cycle, how to use the pack, a time plan, a score tracker and a response sheet.
- Revision notes for all ten units: Sociological Theory, Research Methodology and Methods, Basic Concepts and Institutions, Rural and Urban Transformations, State, Politics and Development, Economy and Society, Environment and Society, Family, Marriage and Kinship, Science, Technology and Society, and Culture and Symbolic Transformations.
- Tables of thinkers, works and dates, comparison tables (for example caste and class, functionalist, conflict and interpretive views, rural and urban) and a box of frequent traps for every unit.
- Current facts checked for the census, the four labour codes in force from 21 November 2025, the Forest Rights Act, land acquisition law, the Aadhaar and privacy judgments, family law judgments and the 2025 rural employment guarantee Act.
- Part C: 50 practice questions, five from each unit, with the answer and a short explanation under each.
- Part D: one full length mock test of 100 original questions, ten from each unit, in the formats used in UGC NET: direct, statement based, match the lists, assertion and reason and chronological order. Includes an answer key and an explanation for every question.
- Part E: a 15 day last revision plan, a unit-wise checklist and exam day tips.
Up to date
Reflects the position as on 7 November 2026. The UGC NET December 2026 dates are reported as tentative, so the pack tells you to confirm them on the official NTA site. The NTA gives no unit-wise question count for Paper 2, so the mock uses a stated working assumption of ten questions per unit.
