Description
Since 21 November 2025, every HR decision in India has to be read against four Labour Codes instead of 29 older laws, and the central rules notified in May 2026, new EPF schemes, a ₹25,000 EPF wage ceiling and fresh bonus ceilings have changed payroll again. Salary structures that keep basic pay low now fail the 50% wage rule. Fixed-term contracts must give parity and pro-rata gratuity. Retrenchment needs a re-skilling fund deposit within 10 days. Every employee needs an appointment letter in a prescribed format, and old registrations must be updated on the Shram Suvidha portal. This course gives HR managers, payroll teams, small employers and MBA (HR) students the employer’s compliance view of the Codes, with worked calculations, Indian workplace case studies and a ready toolkit.

Who this course is for
HR managers and executives, payroll and compliance staff, owners and managers of small and medium employers, HR consultants, and MBA (HR) and BBA students who want a practical, employer-side command of the Labour Codes. No legal background is needed. If you are an employee who wants to know your own rights, Lexfolio’s separate employee rights course is the better fit.
How the course works
6 modules, 18 lessons, with a quiz of 5 questions after each module. Every lesson explains the rule with section numbers, works through an Indian workplace case study with an invented company, and ends with key takeaways. The last module is a toolkit: a compliance calendar, an appointment-letter checklist and model format, a payroll restructuring worksheet for the wage definition, a full audit checklist and a 90-day action plan.
How the certificate works
- A final test of 30 multiple-choice questions, mostly workplace scenarios, with a 45-minute time limit
- Pass mark 60%; you can retry if you do not pass
- On passing, you receive a Lexfolio certificate with a unique ID that anyone can verify online at lexfolio.in/verify-certificate/
- It is a certificate of completion from Lexfolio, not a degree, diploma or professional qualification
How to show this on your CV and LinkedIn
List it under “Certifications” or “Courses” as “Certificate Course in the Labour Codes for HR Managers (Lexfolio, certificate of completion)” with the month you passed and the verification ID. In interviews, talk about what you can do: run the 50% wage test, build a compliance calendar, audit an establishment against the four Codes. Be accurate: it is a certificate of completion from Lexfolio, not a degree, diploma or professional qualification.
