Free: CLAT 2027 (UG) online mock test
120 questions, 120 minutes, instant score and explained answers. Free with a Lexfolio account.
Choose a CLAT test series on five things: whether the papers follow the real 2027 pattern, whether every question has an explanation, whether the difficulty is realistic, whether you can get an analysis of your performance, and whether the price and access terms suit your time left. A series is only useful if you take the tests under exam conditions and analyse them. A cheap series used well beats an expensive one left half done.
1. Does it match the CLAT UG 2027 pattern?
The official pattern is 120 passage-based MCQs, 120 marks, +1 and minus 0.25, with English 22 to 26, Current Affairs including GK 28 to 32, Legal Reasoning 28 to 32, Logical Reasoning 22 to 26 and Quantitative Techniques 10 to 14. A series that still uses old-style standalone questions, or has a different section split, trains the wrong habits. Check the sample paper or the product page, and count.
2. Are explanations given for every question?
Explanations are the main value of a mock. Look for explanations that say why the wrong options are wrong, not just why the right one is right. A bare answer key means you cannot do the error log described in our guide on analysing a mock.
3. Is the content current and accurate?
Current Affairs questions should cover events up to a stated date, and Legal Reasoning passages should not rest on law that has been replaced. For instance, criminal law passages should use the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita where relevant. Ask: does the provider say as of when it is updated? Avoid sets that show no date at all.
4. Is the difficulty realistic?
You want papers that are about as hard as the real one, not so hard that you are demoralised or so easy that you feel falsely ready. You cannot verify this from a brochure. A free or sample paper helps: take one and see if the questions feel like the type you have seen in previous year papers.
5. What analysis do you get?
Some series give you ranks against other users, some give section-wise reports, some give only the score. Ranks are useful but can be misleading when the user base is small or consists of unserious attempters, so do not read much into a rank on its own. A section-wise breakdown is more useful than a rank.
6. Price, access and time
With about five weeks left, buy only what you can finish. Check how long access lasts, whether you can retake tests, whether it works on your phone, and what the refund policy says. Avoid paying for features, such as live doubt classes, that you will not have time to use.
Red flags
- Promises of ranks or selection.
- Claims of being “the best series” with no basis.
- No description of the pattern or sample questions.
- No indication of when the content was last updated.
What Lexfolio’s two sets contain, as per their product pages
These are summaries of the product pages as of 1 November 2026. Please read the pages themselves before buying, since details can change.
- CLAT 2027 online test series, Rs 99: three full-length mock tests (labelled Mocks 2, 3 and 4), 360 passage-based questions in the official section proportions. Each test runs 120 minutes on screen and auto-submits when time ends. Instant scores, an explanation for every question, unlimited retakes, and lifetime access to the course. Mock 1 is a separate free test. It is online practice only, with no printable version, and it has no reviews yet.
- CLAT 2027 full-length mock tests, Rs 149: four papers of 120 questions, 480 in total, as a PDF read in the Lexfolio reader. It lists an exam guide with a time plan, answer keys with section-wise analysis tables, a printable OMR practice sheet, current affairs from January to October 2026, and a one to three line explanation for each question. Access is for one year. It also has no reviews yet.
The practical difference: the Rs 99 set gives you on-screen timed tests with instant scoring; the Rs 149 pack gives you a longer PDF that you can print or work through with an OMR sheet, which is closer to a pen-and-paper exam. The 149 page says the pen-and-paper version has the same papers as the online set, so buying both would duplicate content. If you also want AILET practice, there is a separate AILET set. Lexfolio is not affiliated with the Consortium of NLUs, and these are practice papers, not official material.
How to use whichever series you choose
- Take each test in one sitting, at 2 pm if possible, without pauses.
- Never open the explanations before you have finished and recorded your numbers.
- Do the error log within 24 hours.
- Space tests two or three days apart so you can act on what you learn. The 5-week plan shows a schedule.
- Retake only the questions you got wrong, a week later.
Whether you pick Lexfolio or another provider, buy one series and finish it rather than starting several.
Questions to ask before you pay
- Can I see a sample passage and its explanation?
- Does it state the date up to which current affairs are covered?
- Can I retake the tests, and for how long can I access them?
- Is there a free test to try first?
- What exactly does the refund policy say, and who do I contact?
If a provider cannot answer these on its product page, assume the answer is not in your favour. Reviews help, but pay attention to whether they describe the content and not just a feeling.
