The CLAT 2027 application form last date is Saturday, 31 October 2026, 11:59 pm: the form must be submitted and the fee paid by then at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The fee is ₹4,000 for General and OBC candidates and ₹3,500 for SC, ST, BPL and PwD candidates. When this page was checked on 29 October 2026, the Consortium’s CLAT 2027 site showed no extension notice, so treat 31 October as final. The exam is on Sunday, 6 December 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

CLAT 2027 application form last date: what to do in the next 48 hours

If you have not applied, do it today, not on Saturday evening. Payment gateways slow down on the last day, and the Consortium has said that an incomplete form, or one without a completed payment, will not be considered. A saved draft is not an application.

Last year the deadline for CLAT 2026 was extended from 31 October to 7 November 2025, by a notice dated 31 October 2025. That is history, not a promise. For 2027 no such notice exists on the official site today. Build your plan around 31 October, and if an extension does come, treat it as spare time to double-check your form.

How to apply for CLAT 2027: step by step

1. Open consortiumofnlus.ac.in and go to the CLAT 2027 page.
2. Register with your own mobile number and email ID. An OTP goes to the mobile number; validate it.
3. Log in with the mobile number and the password you set.
4. Choose the programme (UG) and your category carefully. Neither can be changed after you submit and pay.
5. Fill in personal, parent and education details. Spell names exactly as in your certificates and mark sheets.
6. Select your test centre city preferences.
7. Upload the photograph, signature and any category, PwD or BPL certificate, in PDF format.
8. Pay the fee online (the gateway shows the bank charge for the mode you choose).
9. Submit, then download or print the application and keep the payment receipt.

Documents required for the CLAT application

The Consortium’s UG instructions list these uploads: a recent front-facing passport-size photograph with a plain background; your signature; a category certificate if you apply as SC, ST or OBC; a certificate from the competent authority for PwD; and a certificate for BPL. All documents must be uploaded in PDF. The photograph and signature need not be attested. Keep your Class 10 certificate beside you for spelling of names and date of birth, even though it is not on the upload list.

Your Class 12 result is needed only at admission, along with the original certificates, which you hand to the NLU allotted to you. The Consortium states that false or mismatched information can lead to cancellation of a provisional admission.

Mistakes that cost candidates their application

• Wrong category or BPL field. Once the application is submitted and paid, these cannot be changed. If your eligibility for a reservation category is found mismatched at admission, you are considered without that reservation.
• Several forms. If you fill more than one, only the last is considered and the earlier fee is not refunded.
• Test city that no longer exists. By a notification of 3 September 2026, Vellore and Tiruvarur were removed as CLAT 2027 test centre cities. Candidates who chose them must pick another city by 31 October 2026 through Edit Application Form, then the Test Centre Preference tab.
• Missing disability accommodation. The Consortium’s PwD policy (7 September 2026) says to indicate accommodation needs, including a scribe, in the application form. Eligible candidates get 40 minutes extra, so their paper runs until 4:40 pm.
• Expecting a later fix. The instructions say updates will not be entertained after the closing date. A separate correction window for 2027 had not been announced when this page was checked.
