Why take an AIBE free mock test now

AIBE is a qualifying exam. There is no rank and no merit list: you either clear the line or you sit again. That changes how you should prepare. You do not need to master every subject. You need to know which subjects will carry you past 45 and which ones are leaking marks.

An AIBE online mock test answers that in about an hour. Reading notes for a week will not. Take the AIBE free mock test first, before you plan the last month, so the plan is built on your real gaps and not on guesswork.

How to take the AIBE free mock test properly

  1. Set the conditions. Sit at a table with only your clean Bare Acts: the Constitution, BNS, BNSS, BSA, CPC and the others you will carry. No phone, no notes, no internet search. If you look things up online, the score means nothing.
  2. Time it. The AIBE XXI booklet allowed 3 hours for 100 questions, about 1.8 minutes a question. For 50 questions, give yourself 90 minutes.
  3. Answer everything. With no negative marking, a blank is a lost mark. Mark a best guess and flag it.
  4. Log three numbers. Your score, the questions you guessed, and the questions where you knew the answer was in the Bare Act but could not find it in time.

Reading your score from the AIBE mock test 2026

Double your score out of 50 to get a rough figure out of 100, then compare it to the line.

  • Below 40: start with the heavy subjects. Constitutional Law, CrPC and BNSS, and CPC carry 10 questions each; IPC and BNS, Evidence and BSA, Family Law and the Contract, Property and NI Act group carry 8 each. These seven heads are 62 of the 100 marks.
  • 40 to 55: you are near the line. Fix your Bare Act speed (tabs on the main chapters) and pick up the short subjects: Professional Ethics, PIL, ADR and Labour Law carry 4 each.
  • Above 55: keep going with full-length papers. A cushion above the line protects you against a hard paper. Note that moderation can move the line either way: in AIBE XXI the qualifying marks were cut by 3 after review, and in AIBE XX five questions were withdrawn.

Check the subject split in our AIBE subject wise weightage guide while you sort your errors.

Practise this in exam conditions. After the free mock, move to full-length papers: five AIBE XXII mocks, each 100 new questions in the official BCI subject distribution, with an answer key and detailed solutions citing the section, Article or case. AIBE XXII Mock Tests, ₹149. Or take everything in one pack: AIBE XXII Complete Pack, ₹499.

From one free AIBE test to a 30-day plan

Take Riya, a final-semester LL.B. student in Jaipur who scores 22 out of 50 on the AIBE free mock test. Her errors are mostly in CPC and BNSS, and four of them were “knew it, could not find it”. Her plan:

  1. Days 1 to 10: CPC and BNSS, chapter by chapter, with Bare Act tabbing; 30 practice MCQs a day.
  2. Days 11 to 20: Constitution, BNS, BSA and Family Law, plus the four-question subjects.
  3. Days 21 to 28: one full-length AIBE XXII mock test every second day, error review in between.
  4. Last 2 days: revise errors only, pack Bare Acts, check the admit card and centre.

Since the criminal law set now reaches the BNS, BNSS and BSA, keep a section map handy. The New Criminal Laws Guide, ₹149 gives correspondence tables for 396 IPC, 217 CrPC and 95 Evidence Act provisions.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I take an AIBE free mock test?

Lexfolio’s free 50-question AIBE XXII mock is online at lexfolio.in under guides. The BCI’s official portal also carries the AIBE XXI question booklets and final answer key, which you can sit as a free practice paper.

Is a 50-question free AIBE test enough?

No. It is a diagnostic. Before 29 November 2026 you should sit at least three or four full 100-question papers under a 3-hour limit with only clean Bare Acts.

How many marks are needed to pass AIBE XXII?

In recent cycles the qualifying mark was 45% for General and OBC candidates and 40% for SC, ST and persons with disabilities. The BCI can moderate the line after review, as it did in AIBE XXI.

Is there negative marking in the AIBE mock test and the real exam?

Recent AIBE papers have had no negative marking, so attempt every question. Practise the same way in your mocks so you do not leave blanks on the day.

Can I use Bare Acts in an AIBE online mock test?

Yes, and you should, because the real exam allows Bare Acts without notes or comments. Using them in mocks trains you to find sections quickly.
