The best AIBE notes are short, Bare Act based notes that tell you where each answer sits in the Act, because AIBE XXII lets you carry Bare Acts without notes or comments but not your notes. Good AIBE study material for 29 November 2026 has three parts: clean Bare Acts for the heavy subjects, one-page subject notes with section maps (including IPC to BNS, CrPC to BNSS and Evidence Act to BSA), and a bank of explained MCQs in the BCI’s 19-subject split.
| Point | Position |
|---|---|
| What you may carry | Bare Acts without notes or comments (AIBE XXI guidelines) |
| What you may not carry | Notes, books, commentaries, annotated Bare Acts, phones, smart watches |
| Core study material | Bare Acts, official syllabus, AIBE XXI paper and final key |
| Heaviest subjects | Constitution, CrPC and BNSS, CPC: 10 questions each |
| Criminal law | Syllabus names IPC with BNS, CrPC with BNSS, Evidence Act with BSA |
| Exam | AIBE XXII, Sunday 29 November 2026, 100 MCQs |
Why AIBE notes work differently from semester notes
Your LL.B. notes were written to explain law in essays. AIBE asks 100 objective questions, many of which can be answered from the Bare Act if you can find the right page in under two minutes. So the best AIBE notes do not retell the Act. They point into it.
Think of two candidates. Aman from Lucknow has 300 pages of handwritten CPC notes. Sana from Pune has a 2-page CPC map: “Res judicata: s.11. Rejection of plaint: Order VII Rule 11. Temporary injunction: Order XXXIX Rules 1 and 2. Notice to government: s.80.” In the hall, Sana’s Bare Act is tabbed at exactly those places. Aman’s notes stay at home. Sana is the one with an advantage.
What the best AIBE notes must contain: a checklist
- The syllabus as the table of contents. Use the BCI’s AIBE XXII syllabus dated 13 October 2026. Every subject heading should match it.
- Section maps. For each Act, the 20 to 40 provisions that come up most, with their section numbers.
- Old and new numbers side by side. For criminal law, every key provision in both forms, for example murder punishment: IPC s.302, BNS s.103; FIR: CrPC s.154, BNSS s.173.
- Leading cases in one line each. Constitutional Law, PIL, Environmental Law and Administrative Law questions often name a case. Keep the case name, year and the one point it decided.
- Professional Ethics from the BCI Rules. These 4 questions depend on the Advocates Act, 1961 and the BCI Rules, which many students never read in college.
- Short subjects in a single sheet. Company Law, Environmental Law, Cyber Law, Land Acquisition and IPR carry 2 questions each. One page each is enough.
- An error list. Everything you got wrong in mocks, written as the correct provision.

How to build AIBE notes in two weeks
If you are starting now, do not write long notes. Use this order, heaviest subjects first:
- Days 1 to 3: Constitution (10 questions) and PIL (4). Articles 12 to 32 and 226, emergency provisions, amendment under Article 368, plus leading cases.
- Days 4 to 6: CPC (10). Sections 9 to 11, 80, 96 to 100, 151, and the key Orders. Add limitation basics.
- Days 7 to 9: BNSS (10), BNS (8), BSA (8), with old numbers. FIR, arrest, bail, charge, trial; general exceptions; offences against body and property; confessions, dying declarations, burden of proof.
- Days 10 to 11: Family Law (8) and the Contract, Specific Relief, TPA and NI Act group (8).
- Days 12 to 14: Ethics, ADR, Labour, Tax, Tort and Consumer, and the five 2-mark subjects, one page each.
Then stop writing and start testing. Use mocks to fill gaps in the notes. The subject wise weightage guide gives the full count.
