CLAT PG 2027 application form last date: what to do now
If you have not applied, do it today or tomorrow. An application with an unpaid fee is incomplete. The Consortium’s instructions say that incomplete applications are not considered and that nothing can be updated after the closing date.
Do not plan around an extension. Treat 31 October 2026 at 11:59 pm as final, and confirm on the official site if you read anywhere that it has moved. The correction window and admit card dates had not been announced in the sources checked.
If you miss it, NLU Delhi’s own LL.M. test (AILET) accepts applications till 10 November 2026, and CUET PG applications for 2027 are expected from December 2026. Our guide on LLM entrance exams in India compares the three.
How to apply for CLAT PG 2027, step by step
- Register on consortiumofnlus.ac.in using your own mobile number and email. An OTP sent to the mobile number validates the account.
- Log in and choose the PG programme. Pick UG or PG with care: the instructions say requests to change the programme are not entertained after submission.
- Fill in personal, category and LL.B. details. Your name must match your certificates and identity proof exactly. A mismatch can lead to disqualification.
- Upload documents: a recent passport-size photograph with a plain background, your signature, and, if applicable, category (SC, ST, OBC), PwD and BPL certificates. Photo and signature need no attestation online; original certificates go to the allotted university at admission.
- Select the previous years’ papers option (₹500) only if you want it. It is separate from the application fee.
- Pay online and submit. You also bear the bank transaction charges shown on the payment page. Save the payment receipt and the final application summary.
If you submit more than one application, only the last one counts and the earlier fees are not refunded. Once the application is submitted and paid, the category and BPL field cannot be changed.
CLAT PG registration: eligibility in plain terms
- Degree: an LL.B. (three-year or five-year) or equivalent law degree with at least 50% marks or the equivalent grade, and 45% for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
- Final-year students: you can apply if you are appearing in your LL.B. final examination in 2027, but you must show proof of passing at the time of admission, or you lose your eligibility.
- Age: there is no upper age limit.
- Nationality: the instructions allow Indian nationals, NRIs, PIO card holders and OCI card holders. Foreign nationals are not eligible for CLAT PG. NRI and NRI-sponsored seats are not allotted by the Consortium; you approach the NLU directly.
Practise this in exam conditions. Once the form is in, the next job is the paper itself: 120 questions on passages in 120 minutes. The CLAT PG 2027 Mock Tests give two full papers, each with 24 passages and 120 questions across all thirteen subjects. CLAT PG 2027 Mock Tests, ₹149. CLAT PG fee: what you will actually pay
The application fee is ₹4,000 for General, OBC and NRI candidates and ₹3,500 for SC, ST, BPL and PwD candidates. Add ₹500 if you want previous years’ question papers, which is worth it for the passage style (see our guide on CLAT PG previous year question papers). Bank charges are extra. The fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable, so a wrong programme choice cannot be fixed by paying again.
Counselling and university fees come later and are covered in our guide on LLM through CLAT PG.
Mistakes that cost candidates their application
- Spelling the name differently from the LL.B. mark sheet or ID proof.
- Choosing UG instead of PG, or the wrong category, and discovering it after payment.
- Leaving the BPL field wrong. It cannot be edited after submission.
- Paying but not pressing the final submit, or losing the receipt.
After you apply: the 38 days to the exam
From 29 October to 6 December 2026 you have 38 days. Use them on a plan, not on random reading: read the CLAT PG 2027 exam pattern and syllabus, then follow the CLAT PG preparation strategy. The admit card is downloaded from your candidate account; its release date will be announced on the website.
